I developed a passion for pain medicine during my medical school training at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. During my training, I worked with numerous pain physicians locally including Dr Hogan. At this time, I fell in love with the practice of pain medicine and with the people of Arizona. I specifically enjoy watching patients become more functional as their bodies and minds respond to multimodal treatment.
I then pursued a residency in anesthesiology, which was completed at University of Texas Health at San Antonio. My pain fellowship training was completed at University of Utah where I learned an interdisciplinary approach to treating chronic pain. Additionally, I specialized in cancer pain. I enjoy treating all types of pain with special emphasis on neuromodulation, vertebroplasty, and cancer pain.
Outside of work, I enjoy exercising and spending time with my wife and three children.
