James Bigham joined AZ Pain Doctors in 2018 as a board-certified Physician Assistant. He is dedicated to the care and treatment of his patients and is proud to be part of an excellent team of providers and staff. Working in pain management allows him to have a positive impact on his patients’ lives as he helps them achieve higher levels of functioning and a better overall quality of life. “Jim” has specialized in Pain Management since 2013 when he and his family moved to the East Valley from Stamford, Connecticut.
Jim began his medical career early on in his late teens when he enlisted in the US Army as a Combat Medic. It was during his time in the Army that he was inspired by a surgical PA who became his mentor. After his service, Jim earned a Bachelor’s degree from Columbia University in New York City. He then enrolled in the Physician Assistant program at St. John’s University in New York where he graduated in 2009.
Jim is the proud father of three children and one oversized Great Dane and is an adoring husband to a perfectly sized wife. Jim lives in Gilbert where he enjoys homeschooling his kids, woodworking, hiking, kayaking and good comedy.
